On Sundays, there is an excellent farmers and flea market in a schoolyard at Columbus Ave and West 77th Street. We went there today to pick up some veggies and look around.

Milano Market
2892 Broadway (at 112th St)
Milano Market has been a favorite of ours for years. It's one of the best delis in the city. Fresh bread, delicious meats, and great made-to-order salads are just a few of their tasty items. Now that we no longer live in the neighborhood, we rarely get to sample their delicious food.
J decided to trek up to Morningside Heights tonight for dinner. The sandwich pictured above is our favorite - prosciutto di Parma, mozzarella, roasted red peppers, fresh basil, and olive oil, on a ciabatta roll. If you're in the area we highly recommend you check it out.
Cook: Pumpkin Ravioli with Sage Brown Butter
After making pumpkin dog biscuits for Xerox, I figured I'd make a pumpkin-filled dinner for us as well. This recipe uses fresh store-bought ravioli, and is ready in less than 20 minutes. We usually buy several packages of the ravioli at a time and freeze the extras. When you're feeling lazy or have little time to prepare dinner, this is a great meal that will fool everyone into thinking you're a gourmet chef.

Bake: Pumpkin Dog Biscuits
Recipe posts do not usually begin with a story about a dog's bowel movements, but that's the inspiration for today's recipe! Xerox, our dog, unfortunately had diarrhea the other day. His obedience trainer told us a while back that pumpkin puree is a natural cure for that problem. We've tried it many times in the past and it really works. The problem, however, is that it only takes about a tablespoon, and then you're left with a giant can of pumpkin puree. So, I decided to make some digestive-friendly dog biscuits with the leftovers.
