Levain Bakery is a small shop in the basement of a brownstone on West 74th Street. They're famous for their gigantic chocolate chip cookies (which are delicious). On the weekend they serve sticky buns filled with either raisins or walnuts. If the crowd that lines up outside waiting for Levain to open is any indication, these sticky buns are amaaaaaaazing. The chocolate chip brioche is good, but too chocolaty for me. I highly recommend the cinnamon butter brioche. The only downside to Levain is that it doesn't open until 9am on Sunday.
